Welcome to this article on the Ferrari F430 Scuderia.
Below is a list of the specs for the ferrari. First off, here is a bit of background information on the F430 scuderia. The F430 scuderia serves as the successor to the challenge stradale. The f430 scuderia was first revealed by Micheal Schumacher at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. The F430 Scuderia is aimed to compete with lightweight cars such as the Lamborghini Gallardo superrleggera and the Porsche RS models. It was also tested against this lamborghini by top gear. It showed that the ferrari was faster than the lambo by about a second. you can see this video on my site if you are interested by visiting the link.
The F430 Scuderia is lighter (by 100 kg/220 lb) and more powerful (515 PS (379 kW; 508 hp) at 8500 rpm) than the standard F430. Most of the power in the Scuderia comes from a revised intake, scuderia exhaust and an ion-sensing knock-detection system that allows for a higher compression ratio. Therefore the weight-to-power ratio in the f430 scuderia is reduced from 2.96 kg/hp to 2.5 kg/hp.
In addition to the weight saving measures, the f430 Scuderias semi-automatic transmission gains improved “Superfast”, known as “Superfast2″, software for faster 60 millisecond shift-times. A new traction control system combines the F1-Trac traction and stability control with the E-Diff electronic differential. The Ferrari 430 Scuderia does 0-60 miles per hour in 3.1 s and 0-100 km/h in less than 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 198 miles per hour.

Maserati GranTurismo Convertible
Posted by in Maserati on June 22, 2011
The Maserati GranTurismo Convertible is both a landmark in the history of the great Maserati brand but also a landmark of design. The first 4 seat convertible in Maserati’s 98 year history makes its debut in the aura of the original Maserati 1950 A6G FruaSpyder – a car that defined an era of high-speed, open air Maserati. It represents uniqueness in performance, design, an undeniably beauty and spacious interior for four and personalization taken into a new level. The GranTurismo Convertible boasts a 433 hp V-8 engine, 6 speed adaptive automatic transmission and it reaches a top speed of 176 mph and 0-62 mph in 5.3 seconds. The bodywork Torsional dynamic frequency of 27.2 Hertz is a benchmark in its level and the rear seat angle of 22 degrees offers a true comfort for two adults. The six-speed ZF automatic transmission with a hydraulic torque converts yielding extremely quick and fluid gear shifts while maintaining, at the same time, the characteristics of the sporty V-8 engine.
The GranTurismo Convertible features active safety measures that extend to the new braking circuit design, AVH and EPB as well as passive measures like the dual-stage front airbags, cast aluminum structural supports, stronger lateral door sill sections. The Skyhook electronic suspension system is another feature that improves the handling of the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible. It is included as a standard and allows the vehicle to easily and instantly adapt to the driver’s style and the road conditions.
The GranTurismo Convertible was designed to exactly follow the design contours of the Maserati GranTurismo coupe. It is rare that a soft top vehicle looks as good with the roof closed as the vehicle on which it was based. The roof particular design and structure allows minimizing the soft top movement at very high speeds. The engineering department created a Convertible that weighs only 221 lbs more than the GranTurismo coupe. The wheelbase of almost 116 inches is the longest among its competitors and the entire body is engineered to ensure maximum performance in terms of handling, safety and comfort.
The volume size of the trunk is the same with the roof either up or down, which is a big difference to many convertibles on the market today. Naturally, Maserati offers a perfectly-fit set of luggage for its convertible which makes full use of the available space.
The GranTurismo Convertible allows owners to select from a vast array of colors, materials and trim to create a sumptuous and unique expression of style. The roof is available in six colors with three interior choices. There are ten leather colors, contrasting stitching, carpet colors as well as six interior trims. Read the rest of this entry »
